If you were British when the child was born registration is not required. The child can apply directly for a passport.

where were you born? where was the child born?

how did you obtain British citizenship? By birth, descent or naturalisation?

You have not answered the question. Did you acquire your citizenship from your parents or did you naturalize when you were in the UK. If it's the former rather than the latter you can't follow the information I have previously given. However, if you were granted BC and then had a child in Iraq, you're child will be British by descent.

If child was born after your naturalisation, then child is British by descent (2(1)(a)). Child may register and/or apply for a British passport.
