Hi Everyone,

Asking for a friend who is currently in Ireland. He holds LTR in Spain (being there more than 10 years) How long can he be outside of Spain without losing his residency. He is from Mauritania.

I suspect your friend will be able to find the information he needs from the Spanish government web sites.

He can (in theory) move to some other Schengen member states with his LTR, but I doubt he can move to Ireland.
