Printing the application form.

Post by Titan » Wed Dec 21, 2011 1:09 pm

Hi,

Is it ok if I just print the cover page of the tier2 application form and then page 6(beginning of Section 1) up to page 54(end of Section 7)..leaving out the table of contents, guidance notes and application form help text? Just trying to save some inks and papers you know...save those trees!..

Cheers!

there is no need to send the guidance notes and help text.

yeah that's what I thought. The guidance notes and help text are for us to read not for the immigrant officer..why would we send it back to them? I'm confuse now haha..any expert or experienced advice?

I know it's a small matter but if I can save about 6 pages of paper, I will haha :p..

I would not risk this by being 'over-sensible'. They could have published both these things in different documents if they didn't want us to send this back.

Hence, when the file reads 'application form' it means we should just print as it is and follow the instructions and fill out the information where asked.

Otherwise - its always up to your own judgement.

Why does this needs expert advice?

Like silverchloride said its not worth taking a risk on your VISA just to save few papers

a friend of mine who has already done it just emailed me saying that he printed everything but only gave the application form to the immigration officer without the guidance and help text but he did it in person...I'm going to do it by post..so I'm going to send everything..you're correct, don't take the risk just to save few papers...

Thank you all for the advices :D :D :D

I have sent 100s of applications and always take out the guidance pages and help text. I have never had an application rejected due to this. If the OP is worried then he can send it all, however I was merely answering the question and confirming that those pages of the form are not required, just like the Annex for the tier 4 general form is not required if there are no sections in the annex that the applicant needs to complete (although even if one question in the appendix needs to be answered, I would send all of the appendix)
