About NS Form

I believe I am a British citizen by the fact that my father was a British citizen. My father died immediate after he became a British citizen when I was a child. As I was goiing through the UKBA website I came to know that in order to ascertain if I am a British I need to apply on NS Form. This is particularly for the persons who think they have a cliam but are not in possession of needed documents. From the Guide to NS Form it is not also very clear what are required. I would just like to know what documents UKBA shall ask for in case of such application.
