PSW application delayed

i applied for psw visa on 28/09/2011 and bio-metrics were taken on 11/10/2011. i have still not heard any thing from ukba. i used my bank account from india there i maintained around 1250 pounds for 6 months.as i am in the uk i need to show only 800 pounds. after i applied for visa, i have withdrew 200 pounds from the account, now there is still 1050 pounds available in my account.

my question is, why is there a delay in processing my application? will India bank account affect my application? is there any problem with the money i withdrew from the bank? i am really concerned about it.
please advice me.

You are assuming that there is a delay! If you do not receive a decision within 14 weeks of submitting your biometrics, then you may say that there's been a delay.
No one but the caseworker can tell you why a decision on your application has not been arrived at yet.

No, if you have maintained 800 pounds for 90 days (for which you have submitted the bank statements).

I applied with the passbook and a letter from the bank confirming funds for 90 days. did anybody get the visa using overseas bank account? does it delay my application?

that could be a reason why there is a "delay"... ukba is obviously making some background checks. rest assured, you will get your decision soon

i have another doubt that is the classification of the degree important to get psw visa? because i got just pass degree BSc (Hons), there is no class on my certificate.

You don't need any class to get PSW however i can say that the delay might be there as the officers need to check your bank statements from overseas.

I have still not heard from UKBA about the decision of my PSW visa application. can somebody tell me how to contact UKBA in order to know the status of my application.?

I called UKBA yesterday to try and find out some information regarding my case, but because it was "less than 14 weeks" they simply would not discuss my case whatsoever.

(It's worth noting: I did not even want any in depth info re: my case, just to know whether they had sent any correspondence recently, as I have had some things lost in the mail)

In hindsight I wish I'd paid extra to get my visa on the same day - it's really worth it to save the stress and worry.

If the 14 weeks is not yet up; as hard as it is, all we can do is be patient and wait. Best of luck to you.

Hi guys,

I enrolled my biometric on the 6th of December and yet to receive any update from UKBA. I am 104% sure I have fulfilled all the requirements of the application. I applied from inside the UK, use Lloyds Bank, and have got my degree.

Should I be worried now? is there anyone else that enrolled biometric before week 2 of dec and still yet to receive news from them?

I believe it's 14 weeks from biometrics. Sorry for the slow response.

Yeah, I gave my biometrics on 29th Nov and haven't heard anything yet either.
