Consecutive 12months for income points ?

Post by tripas33 » Sat Dec 31, 2011 10:27 am

Hello All,

I understand that extension guidelines state that for income points , any consecutive 12 months out of the last 15 months period can be considered. However I am not clear about last 12 months being considered with no income in couple of months out of the 12months considered. Can you kindly guide with regard to below 12 month combination ?

consecutive 12 months = 5 months (income) + 2 months(No Income)+5Months (income)

Will this combination be considered if I meet my points for extension in 10 months period as show above , with no income for 2 months.

Thanks.
Reg,
Tripas

Gaps in income period are fine as long as you make the points, but they will only consider a consecutive 12 month period going back 15 months from the date of application barring a few exceptions in the guidance notes

Thanks for the reply. Is this document anywhere on the UKBA or web ?

Yes, it's called the Tier 1 (General) Policy Guidance.

No.

Like MB243 has said already, it can include gaps in the 12 months, but the key is that you meet the required earnings threshold within the period regardless of the fact that there could be gaps in your employment.

Kind Regards

Thanks Guys for the guidance.

Are you all referring to the below guideline from the Tier-1 Guide.

"An applicant does not have to be in
continuous or full-time employment during the
12 months being assessed"

Which mean gaps are allowed.

Warm Regards,
tripas
