ILR-10 yr rule:Does stay in Isle of Man included in UK stay?

Post by wel_home » Fri Oct 06, 2006 6:52 am

Hi,

I am planning to apply for ILR, under 10 year rule. Going through my old passport, I realised that I had worked in Isle of Man for 9 months, and one of my visa extension stamps is labelled as Isle of Man.

My query is: does stay in Isle of Man qualify as equal to the stay in UK?

I cannot get any definite answers. UK visa holders do not need visa to visit Isle of Man. I got my visa extended at Isle of Man, as it was most convenient at that time, and did not realise the importance.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks
