Indefinite Leave to remain

Post by jasb_003 » Sat Dec 31, 2011 9:42 pm

Can anyone please confirm if the biometrics are done for Set(M) and Set(O) ILR applications?
The payment has been taken on 19th December 2011 but no acknowledgement has been received so far.
Also does the underpayment of tax (due to wrong tax code in employment) affect the ILR application?

Thanks for the reply.
ILR is being applied as Spouse of British Citizen and there is a separate application for their son who is over 18(but entered the country as under 18).
So I will assume that no biometric is required. However no acknowledgement has been received so far which is bit worrying.

The underpayment of tax is in the case of ILR application as Tier-1(General) ,initially HSMP.Basically the tax office asked for tax underpaid through employmentin 2007-08.However as per HMRC rules the demand was out of time therefore they have now agreed not to recover the amount. Will it have any effect on ILR application?

Indefinite Leave to remain

Thanks to everyone for their replies.
However I am still looking for answer on the question about underpayment of tax initially(due to wrong tax code) and the effect of the underpayment of tax which has been written off by HMRC due to it being out of time limit.
Thanks

I am not sure about your under payment issue but I am sure some expert on this forum can advise on this.

Indefinite Leave to Remain

Post by jasb_003 » Sun Jan 15, 2012 8:37 pm

Recently applied for ILR of my father and brother on Set(M) and Set(O) respectively. The documents and forms were sent in same envelope and the payment was taken from account on same day.Documents were sent on 12th December and payment taken on 19th December 2011.However only one acknowledgement has been received for Set(O) application and no acknowledgement has been received for Set(M).The reference number on acknowledgement for Set(O) is like this IL0456163/002.Does 002 mean that this acknowledgement is for 2 applications or will there be 2 acknowledgements issued.

Is it possible to contact home office and ask them to send acknowledgement?
