UK experience

Post by manuelaux » Tue Jan 03, 2012 6:18 pm

Hello!

I hold Tier1 visa and I will have to extend it this year.

Can you please tell me may I claim 5 points for UK experience?

I satisfied criteria but I am not sure if this points can be claimed when extending Tier1 visa?

Are those points only for first time application or for extensions too?

Thank you!

Initial applicants and applicants who were granted leave leave under the rules in place on or after 6 April 2010 will score 5 points if £25,000 of their previous earnings was earned in the UK.

Extension applicants who were last granted, leave as a Highly Skilled Migrant, as a Writer, Composer or Artist, Self-employed Lawyer, or as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the rules in place before 6 April 2010 will score 5 points if at least £16,000 of their previous earnings was earned in the UK.
