Building society savings books/letters ?

As per set(O) form , HO required 3 doucments from the following list.

-tenancy agreement(s)
-mortgage statements/agreement
-water rates bills or statements
-electricity and/or gas bills or statements
-building society savings books/letters
-TV Licensing
-DVLA ( Driving Licensing )
-Letters from HM Revenue and Customs


Could somebody please let me know what is

building society savings books/letters ?

and how can we open this account and get this account letters or statements ? Thanks for your time....

You would open a building society account in the same way as you would open a bank account. Why do you need it? Don't you have any of the other proof of address listed?

HO asking for 3 kind of documents. We do have

1) Bank Statements
2) tenancy agreement
3) DVLA (But only one letter and card - one post ) - we need to show 2 years...

We are living in Shared house and our rent include all bills...that why I'm asking about Building Society account.....

Which org. I need to contact to open building society account please...
