Tier 1 Extension - Postal Orders A/C Payee ..PLZ HELP !!!

Hi all

I am planning to make the Tier1 visa extension fee payment via postal order. I have following questions

1. Is it mandatory to write "A/C Payee only " in between the crossed lines on the postal order or just enough to have 2 cross lines on it?

2.As I understand after reading few posts on this forum that by default the postal orders crossed by the post office don't have the "A/C payee" text. Is it advisable to buy a postal order and then write this text by hand? Will this be considered as tampering the postal order and rejected?

Postal order are more expensive than bank draft. Bank draft is more advisable than POs
