Looking for advice for a friend of mine.
She's holding BNO and Hong Kong SAR passport, and hoping to apply ILR through 10yr long residence. There were 2 possible gaps that could be an issue.
1, Sent postal application for extending student visa about 10 days late because she was getting a new passport and it came back late. But student visa extention was granted some how.
2, a few years later when applying to extand student visa again, it was posted in time, but was rejected because the photo she sent was deemed unacceptable, all paper work came back after the expiry date, she got the right photo and posted them again but obviously it's after the expiry day of her previous visa, the application was then granted.
So the first one is quite obvious a gap, but not sure if her BNO passport can save the day since BNO holder (or for that matter Hong Kong SAR passport holder) can be in UK without visa for visit not exceeding 6 month.
And considering everything, what's her chance of getting ILR?
