Question regarding FLR(M) Form - Please advice!

Post by LondonResident » Mon Jan 09, 2012 10:57 am

Hello,

I currently on Tier 1 Visa and my wife is on Tier 1 Dependent Visa since Jan - 2008. Now I am applying ILR under Long Residence and at the same time my wife is applying through FLR(M).

In FLR(M) form, section 7.1 - "Did you get an entry clearance as a spouse, civil partner, unmarried or same sex partner, fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner before entering the UK" what should I say - "Yes" or “No".

According to me understanding it should be "Yes" however I am not completely sure and just want to confirm. Please advice!

Thanks in advance,

I think that the answer is "no".

Thanks very much for your reply Vinny. Much Appreciated.

As currently she is on Tier 1 dependent Visa (doesn’t that will be classified as Spouse Visa). Please advice as I am very much confused about this.

Thanks in advance,
Mendi

Vinny said 'no'

I'd assume they want to check whether she has made previous applications such as applying as a fiance to somebody else.
It'd be another way of checking the validity of the relationship.

Hi BobbyUKENG

According to me, as my wife is already on Tier 1 dependent visa the answer for the question -

In FLR(M) form, section 7.1 - "Did you get an entry clearance as a spouse, civil partner, unmarried or same gender partner, fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner before entering the UK" should be say - "Yes".

One of my friend recently applied and successfully granted the FLR(M) for his wife, also confirmed me that it should be "Yes".

Thanks,
