I do agree though, the whole situation is very stressful - and given that it costs so much, it would be helpful for everybody if they could develop an online tracking system. Not only would it minimize the stress for the appilcant, it would ultimately help the UKBA too, as it would help to cut down on perpetual phone calls from us applicants asking for updates regarding our applications. Pipe dreams...

Best of luck though, and a happy new year to all :)
Yup, good suggestion.
So does the BRP card come along together with the approval letter and documents or it will come separately?

It comes separately. I believe the BRP card comes by courier? (someone please correct this if I'm wrong)

Just waiting for mine to turn up at the mo.

That's a bit strong isn't it? I'd hardly say we've ruined the entire thread by going slightly off-topic. Delete them if you like though, I for one won't be losing any sleep over it

Post by manuhot01 » Fri Jan 06, 2012 9:08 pm

Hi Everyone,

My Bio metrics was done on: 13 Dec 2011.
I've still not heard anything yet from Home Office.

Can anyone tell me how they are doing with their application.

Thanks

The processing times for Post Study Work Visa

Post by dio_chiro228 » Fri Jan 06, 2012 10:09 pm

Hi...

My biometric was taken at a Post Office in Aberdeen on 12 December 2011 and I have not (yet) heard anything since. Should I worry? What are the chances of anyone getting the visa at 4 weeks after the biometric?

Hi,

I really dont know the chances myself. But I'm just keeping track of how are others doing with their application. I'm hopping we may expect it next week.

Please keep us updated whenever you get your documents.

Thanks

Btw, when did you send you applications?

I post my application around November (sorry I forgot the date). However, I did the biometric on 12 December. Will keep you posted if I receive any documents. Please do inform me of yours as well.

I am a bit worried as I didnt include any envelope for the UKBA officials to send my documents back. I understand that in this case, they will post the documents back to me via 2nd class post. Is that right?

I'm not sure about it, cos I also haven't send any special envelope so I guess it will be through 2nd class.

On UK border agency indicates that they are considering applications on or before the 15th and your biometrics were on the 16th for sure??? I need my passport asap and at least it is a hope that they r processing applications made after this date!! If so, you r so lucky!! ;)

I just checked the UKBA website

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... tingtimes/

It says on and before 17th of December.

Where did you see 4th Jan?
