Queries about VAF1 form..

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for EC in Nov for HSMP..
While filling up form VF1 , i came across few queries..

Can some one please help me in this??

1) In Section 4 : Question 4.2 says Pl. provide details below..But there is no space to provide details
also for Question 4.3 "Have you applied to UK visa before) , i have to say YES??

As i have travlled to UK on workpermits...But if i say YES it is saying that i need to fill
up another section for Visa rejection , but my visa was never rejected
..So shd. i say YES or NO for 4.3??


2)Do i need to fill Section 7??
which says that only WP holder or Permit free employment holder need to fill..

use the space in 4.8 to 4.12. In these (4.8 to 4.12), give details of the last visa application you made (in case you applied multiple times in the past).

4.3 "Have you applied to UK visa before) , i have to say YES??

Yes !!

Do i need to fill Section 7??

Not too sure about this, but as I understand it, for HSMP you don't have to fill this up.

But in section 4.8 to 4.12 , they are asking about Reason for rejection...

So if i fill that section, it is implied that my Visa was rejected..

Can you please throw some light on that??

Where is that implied ... anywhere on the form ?? I couldn't find it.

It is clearly stated that, and I quote - "If you have answered yes to questions 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6 or 4.7 please complete questions 4.8-4.12 as applicable. Otherwise please go to question 4.13".

4.12 specifically lets you answer whether your visa was rejected or was approved. So if you have never had a rejection, just fill in the details of your last "successful" visa application.

Thanks for the quick reply..

I was looking at 4.12 which says that "what happened?? , please give details of any forms that were served on you (e.g Deportation order,APP104 etc..)

So i was thinking that this section is only for cases where visa was rejected..

You have cleared my confusion..
