Tier 1 general main to dependent status change

Post by RaviSS » Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:49 pm

Dear Gurus
I am in tier 1 general visa and it is valid till April 20th 2012
I can not extended this as I don't meet required points
My wife has Tier 1 general visa which is valid till March 10th and she has enough points to extend the visa and has applying for extension in person on 20th feb 2012

My questions are
1. can I apply along for status change as my wife dependent along with my wife extension application in country or do I need to go to india for applying for status change after my wife visa get extended?

2. can I apply for status change before my original visa expires?

1. Unfortunately, you may not switch from within the UK.
2. Yes, you may apply at any time. However, your subsequent leave will expire in line with your wife's.
