Is Part time/Distance learning course also equiv. for points

Hi,
My brother is applying for hsmp. All in all he is making 75 points if he includes an mba done from a reputed indian institute but part time. What is also interesting is the date of the mba clashes with his experience dates which is more important here.

My question to MWazir, Moderator other senior guys ... please advice.

a) Is a distance learning/ part time MBA ok for getting 25 points or are they likely to considered non equivalent. We want to apply soon before his 28 birth day mid november and i dont think naric will be able to verify by then

b) If yes, should we insert an explanatory note to explain why degree dates and FULL TIME workex. dates are overlapping (as the degree was part time and classes were on weekends) ?

Please, your prompt advice would be highly appreciated.

Аs for studing I think full time or part time it's not important.
Important is the result. If your university is recognised in the UK and
you have MBA I think this should be OK.

Hi thanks for the quick reply.

We are claiming 35 pts for workex of 4.5 yrs (graduate level with roles responsibilities, dates, designations etc etc.) with 8 months overlapping with MBA course dates and hence i am asking.... is it advisable to mention the course was part time ( weekend classes only) , whereas employment full time (also mentioned in the ref. letter) or just leave it at that and hope they figure out for themselves ( or just overlook it ) ?

Explain them. It is strange to work full time and study during it, isnt it ?

Thanks i think thats what i will do . It makes sense to not sweep things under the carpet and explain them.
