i just got the confirmation letter this morning for the ceremony in Rathmines. its in Cathal Brugha Barracks. it states that one guest only will be allowed and that they need to bring in one photo id with them.
i want to ask any one who attended the ceremony before if one child is allowed to attend with his parent? any idea any one.
many thatnks. and for all waiting for the confrmation...its on the way. i sent my choice of date in first week of december.

There must be a date on the letter notifying you of your reference number. if the number ends with 11 then it means he submitted the application last. year- old system example 68/******/11. New system 1******-citz-11.

i tried calling the citizenship line this mornning. i couldnt get through for all the 2 hrs

i rang citizenship department today and after 40 minute wait in queue, i was able to speak to lady on phone. I was enquiring about my spouse application.
She did not tell clearly about the status of application. I asked whether it is with outside agency, she said no, and then she said i can't tell you specific timeframe for approval. She said that applications are being sent in 1000's for approval to minister every week and it may take a while in getting response back from minister.
Does it mean to say that my spouse application has been sent to minister? She said don't worry we will inform you in writing. So no clear answer, but it seems my spouse application is in late stage and might go to minister in 2-3 months as she also said that your spouse application number is few thousands away from the current application being processed..so its all mystery:)

so its good news.minister is clearlying around 1000 application week.so till june minister will be clear all the backload of 20000 application.keep the good work.when did your wife applied for citizenship?

06232500 is the number. My spouse applied in september 2010.

that was the number i called as well. but it gave me engaging tone for the whole 2 and half hrs(10 to 12.30). anyway lets keep our fingers crossed

Finally recieved my wifes approval letter applied on basis of spouse of irish national on 18th july 2011 got it on 18th jan 2012 seems like they are following the six month rule atleast for spouse of irish national.thanks Minister

one of my friend got her approval this morning.she was very happy.she applied in july 2011.never claim any socail welfare,never garda proble.its look like train is moving fast.good work minister

it will be on 03/02/2012 at 10 a.m. for registeration

congrats to everyone . . just that the spouses of irish are getting theirs in 6 months .. not all the applications ..

btw i have applied in august - 2011 and have not heard anything yet .. not desperate as yet .. but would like to see the ball rolling ..

I do not know exactly but as seen in the previous cermonies clips on the youtube, there are children with their families and it is easly to hear them around.
