Does it take long if Biometrics not given before

Hi Guys,
I am little confused about Biometrics. I have got a plan to apply for Tier 1 General Extension but I have never given any biomertics before it will be first time when I give biometrics. I have red from other posts some people have said it gets complicated if you have given Biometrics before in the UK or in the home coutry. can anyone please clarify this who has been through extension using PEO. Thanks in advance.
