Success at Solihull PEO for Set (M)

Post by mehi » Fri Jan 20, 2012 9:53 pm

Hi

Just wanted to share my success of getting ILR SET(M) at Solihull PEO on 19 January.

My husband and I arrived at PEO at 1pm for 1.30 appointment. Security staff were really friendly which made the whole experience so much easier. Was called in for interview at about 2.15.

Young lady caseworker asked for my application, our passports, passport-sized photos and Life in UK pass certificate. She then asked me for three of my payslips. She didn't ask to see any bank statements from my husband or I, and she didn't ask for his payslips.

She then asked for letters addressed to each or both of us for beginning of 2010, end of 2010, begin of 2011 and end of 2011. I gave her four letters addressed to both of us and then letters addressed to each of us covering the 2 years - so in total 12 letters.

I also gave her photocopies of everything she had taken. She then asked us to go pay and come back in an hour.

So at 3.40 I got my passport with ILR. It was so much easier than expected. I think in my case they focused on evidence of our relationship, rather than finances. So make sure you bring lots of letters, plus everything else possible to be safe.

Thanks
