2nd tier-1 extension

Hi,

I have stayed outside for 8 months so to be elgible for ILR i need to take 2nd extension. Can any one please say me how long 2nd extension valid for? (will it be for 8 months or will it be default for 2 years)

2 years if you are currently a Tier 1 (General) migrant and your current permission to stay was granted before 6 April 2010.
