Hi kausar20

Since you are the British Citizen you are the sponsor. So you need to include your documents as well as your partner's. As far as I know the decision will be made on both of yours finances combined. So make sure you include your documents as well.

You need around £120 a week after rent, council tax and loan/mortgage payments if any. If your finances look okay in that basis, you should be fine.

Certified copies - if you are not submitting your original passports then you will need the copies to be certified. I do not know in case of FLR if you need to supply your original passport or not.
Feb 2012 - Spouse Visa - New Delhi
Mar 2012 - Documents collected - VISA Granted
March 2014 - ILR Granted
Apr 2015 - Applied for Naturalisation
Nov 2015 - Naturalised

thanks harv for responding back

yes i know i will be sponsoring his application to get further leave to remain but i am pretty much sure that finances will be taken as combined.
i have heard on this forum before too that many ppl have got their visas granted on the basis that applicant is the main person earning and the sponsor is house wife / student

any reply from a moderator would be highly appreciated and brother batley khan if you can please kindly provide me a sample letter

Bear in mind that if the proposed changes are implemented in the Spring, it's possible that only the sponsor's earnings will be taken into consideration.

You must submit evidence of finances of both sponsor and applicant.
