Salary Query

Post by aditanu2831 » Sun Jan 22, 2012 10:55 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm applying Tier 2 General visa. My salary is £28500 gross per year and I come under SOC code 3131 IT operations technicians and I'm a web designer.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... iew=Binary

The salary mentioned on UKBA web site under web master is £28000. My concern is am I eligible under salary. I work 37.5 hrs per week.

How to calculate salary for 37.5 hrs???

Awaiting for your replies. Any reply appriciated

Many thanks in Advance

'Appropriate salary rates are based on a 37½ hour working week, unless
otherwise stated. Salaries should be pro-rated for other working patterns'

The above quote is on the first page of the link you posted so from that your salary meets ( and is above) the appropriate rate of salary

if you work 37.5 and that's what the requirement is as per your soc code and you earn more than the required amount then you are fine. make sure that no. of hours 37.5 is mentioned on your COS.

on SOC list most of the salaries are for 37.5 hrs.

e.g. if soc requirement for your code is £15 per hour

then calculation is usually = 37.5hrs x 52weeks x £15

= £29250
Thanks!
