Tier-1 Extension & Applying In Person Queries

Post by sandeepk » Fri Jan 13, 2012 11:00 am

Hello guys,

My Tier-1 will expire on 16th Feb so was looking to book an appointment but never got the slots on net or on phone.

Finally this morning, i got the appointment available at Liverpool for 13th so booked it.

Here are some queries i have:

1. Will it be ok for me to apply in person at Liverpool as i coulnt get appointment in Croydon office. I Live in london.

2. I am having torrid time asking my bank to send the missing bank statements. Can i just take printouts from net and get them stamped.
Anyone got them stamped from HSBC bank recently ??>>

3. My statement is generated on 21st each month, so will i be fine using 21st jan generated statement on 13th Feb.

4. Will i get the decision done in a day i mean completing all things like Biometric etc. any pointers.

5. Here are the docs i am going to use, someone please confirm this too.

Passport, Pics,Bank Statement showing monthly salary, Sal Slips

Do i need any other document??

Any other suggestions, please dont mind to share

thanks

HSBC wont stamp your statements. search for 'hsbc' in this forum for all the facts. get your statement from the branch, take your passport and debit card along.

you can apply in any PEO.

same day decision is not guaranteed. if case worker considers your application complex or decides to run verification checks then your application will be treated as a postal one, bye bye to your premium fees.

from your doc list it looks like you are salaried, with same employer, so imo its a straight forward application and you should get decision on same day, but no gaurantees. again, search forum for 'peo' for people's experiences

I can answer these.
2. Hopefully HSBC sends duplicate(original missing statements at 1 Pound each) in 5 working days. If for some reasons, you cant wait for 5 days or some trouble in getting them, you can simply walk out to your nearest HSBC Branch and ask them to issue printed statments from the machine (not cash machine). Specify the dates. And dont ask for stamp & sign, HSBC doesn't seal or sign. The printed statement has got all the necessary info. with HSBC logo on top and some URL path at the top or bottom, I do not remember. Thats enough.

3.If you are using that for maintenance fund proof, obviously 'Yes, it will be fine', no other supporting doc. is needed, because the statement generated will be less than 1 month old. I have done the same.

PEO Appointment:It is always better to go for a PEO option. If everything is straight forward, you might get the decision on the same day. This is logical and I don't think there are any issues with this.

I have personally seen people going for a PEO appointment just 1 day before Visa expiry date. This is because you generally don't get the appointments as and when you like.

Make sure you take along all the necessary documents when you go for the appointment.

For Bank Statements : You can use the bank statements issued within the last 30 days when you are making an application from within UK

D3 & D4 refer to the last EC you had when entering UK from abroad.
put the reference number on that EC & the date it was issued/valid from

D9 will depend on what purpose you were granted EC

You don't need to fill D9 unless your passport is unavailable.

D3: This is the Visa issuing date not the application date

D4: Is the number written in red on the right hand side, top corner
(I don't think there is any other number on your visa that you can use)

No, Don't leave it blank.

This is a mandatory field. I am not sure, someone else suggested, that you can use application date.

Please double check ...

Ok guys thanks for the immense help, almost done with the form.

2 last questions :

The total of the Points in Points Calculator Summary in the last section of the application form should include "english language" and "Maintenance" or not.
I think these are mandatory fields. And if i add them my total points claimed comes to 125 which looks high.

And on what name and address shall i ask my bank to get the banker's draft done??

thanks
