Submission of papers at VFS

Post by harv » Wed Jan 25, 2012 2:25 pm

Hi

I was wondering how the papers are taken by the VFS staff.

I have made a file with all my papers correctly sorted and a table of content to go with it as well. So if I am asked to take the papers out of the file, the order will be ruined.

Any ideas how the papers taken by the VFS staff? Do they give you some sort of an envelop to put our file in?

Hi Harv,

I am not sure what they like it but I can tell you what they do not like. I had an idea to sort out our papers, with coloured pages between each section titled but my husband had another idea. He separated each section in an envelope. They took out all the envelopes and just sorted them together as one pile.

Wow, that just kills the sorting because not all documents are the same dimension i.e. photographs, bank statements etc. So anything can slip in and out from the pile to create a mess.

Well I have a simple plastic file folder that comes with pre-attached with plastic sleeves to insert paper. I hope they can let me submit the whole file as it is.

I would suggest treasury tags. For those i know who have submitted in the Caribbean, they remove everything.
