Hi All,

I have followed this thread for some time. Thought I would share my experience.
I applied for my wife's ILR on a set(m) application

Applied: 3rd November 2011
Payment taken: 10 November 2011
ILR stamp: 19th January 2012 (Liverpool office)
Paperwork received: 25th January
12 weeks total

Didn't chase them as i wasn't really worried, thought it was a straight through case, but I did a lot of prep.

Please feel free to ask any questions

Is this the shortest delivery timelines we have see so far? If yes (and I say this just to keep the moral high) it could be that the HO is getting over the christmas overload?

For all that are waiting I certainly hope so...

I did the following with my wife's application:

1. Supplied a covering letter explaining any potential confusions

2. Treasury tagged and organised the evidence, using dividers and contents page

3. Supplied a photo copy of all documents (as suggested in the guidance section)

I thought if I organise everything for the caseworker, it makes their life easier, and maybe this worked.

(Not suggesting other applicants don't do the same, just information on my wife's application)

Guess what!

My ILR inside my pasport arrived today. It was approved on the 17th January and arrived today. I applied on the 5 September and received my acknowledgement letter on the 9th. This really made my day. I was a Set O applicant based on Tier 2 workpermit. So, apparently, if you applied in September, they are now working on Sept cases.

I want to say many thanks for all of your support and all the advice and information you all have shared with me. Best of luck for those of you whoo are still waiting. I don't think you all have too much longer.
