Hi Guys...
I applied for additional COS as my previous application for tier 2 general got rejected due to salary attributes.
I requested an urgent COS on 13th Jan 2012 as my visa is expiring on 11th Feb 2012. Any idea how much time it will take to get additional COS.
My manager also sent an email to UKBA stating we need an urgent COS.
Thanks

Same situation here. HR applied for an unrestricted COS for my visa extension on 16 Jan. Not allocated so far. Dont understand why UKBA wants to make things difficult for us since it is an unrestricted COS.
Anxious wait!!!

thanks arsenal for the reply. Just want to check if it is mentioned anywhere that COS request could be allocated on the same day?
I had asked the HR today morning to follow up with UKBA on this. I will check with her as to what reply she got. HR had mentioned to me however that when she requested the COS on 16th jan she got the message that it could take upto 2-3 weeks for the COS.

Hi pswtotier2,
You have to do the biometrics this time too.
Good to know that you got your COS. Do you know when exactly you requested for the COS?

It has been almost 2 weeks since the request for an unrestricted COS for my extension...still no COS!
Has it taken more than 2 weeks for anyone in this forum?

I remember someone posted here saying that it took him 3 weeks. But I think its the maximum time..
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on

It has already been 3 weeks now and still no COS.
HR made a few calls to them. At the time of COS request they say it will take 2-3 weeks. On Jan 24 they say our request has been received and it is currently being assessed by the case working team, but they are unable to provide any timescales for how long this assessment will take. HR also emailed them last week but did not give any clear reply. Obviously starting to get concerned now!!
I wonder why they call it unrestricted COS then. Even restricted COS has specific timelines!!!

Just wondering, whether you have received COS or still waiting for it.
