Hi All
Was on 2 yr WP and 3 year Tier1 visa, currently director of a ltd company. Applied for ILR premium same day service on 16th Jan 2012 through a solicitor. Received a letter from ukba on 18th asking us to submit more documentation/accountant letters about my company share holding, profit and loss details. Have posted all the requested documents back to them on 24th. According to postal status documents were delivered on the following day 25th. Till now we haven't heard from ukba and it's very unfortunate that I can't track my application status either online or through any enquiry department. Can someone please advise what might be happening with my case.
Thnx

They do take time.. You Application must be treated like a POSTAL Application now.

Is it? That's Not fair, then what's the point in paying premium charge?

My existing visa will get expired in march, what if I don't receive my pr by then, which status I will be in?
Also have plans to travel to India end of next week end and my solicitor mentioned that in the covering letter to help having the application processed quickly. It's creating lot of mental tension

Sorry to hear this. Please rest assure that visa expiry when you case is with UKBA is not a problem. You can carry on your employment/business as usual. It is legal

they clearly state on the website that paying for the premium service does not guarantee a same day decision. If you didn't provide them all of the documents they required in order to grant your application then your application cannot be decided on the day. You will have to wait.

he only applied 12 days ago - there are not really grounds for it to be expedited.

Hi generic123
What reason did UKBA give your solicitor for not processing the application on the same day itself?
I suppose you mentioned you received a letter after 2 days asking for shareholding pattern details etc.
Plus if possible, would you be able to please summarize the entire documentation required for WP + Tier1 General Holders and currently working as Limited Company directors.
Thanks in advance.

the UKBA have requested further evidence from him - clearly this is the reason they couldn't decide the applicaiton on the day.

My solicitor mentioned that usually they will take 1 or 2 days to verify the docs if it's thru solicitor and he got a call from them asking him to meet after 2 days as there's an update.

I applied using same day service via a solicitor..The information requested was salary per hour(even though annual salary was included in original letter) AND my COP.
The letter was sent to the UKBA in the first week of Dec, with hourly rate but a statement saying that there was no COP for my role.
I have written 2 letters in the last 2weeks to try to expedite the process but not heard anything from them yet..

I did not get one thing, If you were on a Tier(1) visa, then why were they asking for SOP details, I thought this is limited to Tier 2 only.

Update: I got a letter from ukba saying that they can't find the registration details of my accountant(the reg no my accountant mentioned on the accountant letter) on ACA and they asked me to get a letter from ACA confirming my accountants registration.
Has anyone requested for such letter and do u know how long that does take. As per icaew site
http://www.icaewfirms.co.uk/contact-us.php , looks like we can request for such letter. Please can someone help, I got very less time to go back to them on that query.

Are you sure your accountant is ACA? Some people have the ACCA accounting qualification. In that case UKBA could be querying the wrong accountancy body.
