Permanent Residency Question ?

Post by zafarzafar80 » Wed Jan 25, 2012 2:55 pm

Hi Guys,

Here is my question if some one could answer it please.

My current immigration status is 4EUFam which is going to be expired in few months. I also got a decision from DOJ that i can retain my 4EUFam card based on my personal capacity and also i should apply for PR.

Does any body know "What immigration stamp would be issued to me once the PR is approved and for how long would it be" ?

Thanks in advance
Zafar

Thank you for the prompt reply.

But my question is when we are divorced and i am NO longer EU family member than why i would be issue Stamp 4EUFam ?

In my mind Stamp 4EUFam is issued to the people who are family members only.

Should it be not Stamp 4 only with a Re-Entry sticker on my Passport ?

Cheers

how long you have been together with ur wife before divorced ?
your spouse is irish or other EU citizen ?
if you are both was living 3 years in marriage relation before marry then u have right u live and do work as u want ....as eu family member.
but if less then three years then u dont have right get 4eufam stamp.
if u will get 4Eufam stamp 5 years then u no need get re-entry sticker on ur psport.
but i u will get for six months then u hve to get sticker visa on pp.
(but its all depend situation and condition)

Hi hunjra,
I think you haven't read my post properly.
I am divorced and was married 4 years. I also informed DOJ and got retention of stamp 4EUFam.
Please read my post properly first.
Thanks

"Stamp 4 EUFam" is on your GNIB card, and will be on subsequent GNIB cards once you have acquired the right of permanent residence, simply because you are resident in Ireland in accordance with the EEA regs.
I am no longer posting publicly on this website - PM me if needed.

Ben "Guru" is correct. You retain your old permit as on the card you have.

All the best
