Well, if so, if you read here - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf

Pt 131 you'd get your answer. Also, as quoted very correctly by Greenie "the Guru" -

If you read the information posted it is clear that the only change is the removal of a concession that those who are required to take an English language test can apply for leave to remain before they have taken the test and before they have the results. They will now need to provide the prescribed evidence they have passed the test with the application. This does not mean that a person who otherwise satisfies the English language requirement for example by having a degree taught in English will now mean they have to take a test instead. The change is only to remove uf concession as set out in the relevant sections of the policy guidance as indicted in the news item.

The change is also not relevant to those applying for ilr.

You should be okay. And worse come, being granted a T1, you would be expected to pass the english test unless.....

Good Luck mate

Nope ,I am applying on 2nd ferb 2012.I know its going to apply after 6th april 2012.

I did understand the 2nd point i.e "concession" one, which was declared on "26 January 2012" But i am still confused abut the 1st one.The 1st was announced on "24 January 2012 ".I din't gave the english language test as i proved that my degree was taught in english .

Right, wats the worry is all about then mate? Take it easy, more you read, you'd create anxiety amongst yourself. IF you do prefer/like to worry, think how you're going to buy a house in next 3 months or say how can you beat and win the lottery lol.

Peace !!!

Here we go again. Mate, with all due respect, Masters from UK, and still asking??? You wouldn't be asking the question had you read through all above.

Anyways, YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO "DO" the English test

One more question, if you dont mind to answer, I am going to apply for my wife dependent visa on Feb 16, 2012. Do I need to provide with any english requirement evidence for her.

Excuse my ignorance.

I don't think you would have to do that either. She's just your dependent. If I were you, I'd read the policy guidence and double check.

I believe if you already claimed English points last time then you don't have to give test and I think there is no English requirement for dependent.

Senior members please confirm.

Hi,
If you have already satisfied the requirement (i.e degree taught in English)
then you don't need to do anything from your end.
As far as your spouse(dependent ) is concern there is no need to give any test.
