Hi guys,
I'd like to run a thread to keep a log of when the upcoming citizenship ceremonies will be held. I'll keep updating this first post with an updates from further down the thread about upcoming dates. As usual it's just ridiculous that we have to track here what the dates are instead of this information being posted on the INIS website
If anyone has any other updates or can confirm other dates, please let me know?

I totally agree with you, something like visas tracking system but more info to show on what's the latest status of the applications.

Agreed. I also don't see how difficult it is to schedule 6-12 ceremonies per year ahead of time and let applicants decide which date suits them best. Surely it's a waste of everyones time having INIS ringing applicants and applicants ringinig INIS. How difficult would it be to have a web form applicants could fill out to apply for a date, and if ceremony is full, simly offer other dates .... I wonder if they have any IT people there at all.

Has anyone received any details about any dates post the Feb 3rd/4th dates? Given that the closing date for responses has already past, I'd imagine new dates would be scheduled..

It's all depends kabutar, it can be between 2 to 6weeks, if you send your 950 draft today now for an example and they have ceremony the following week they can book you on it and if they don't have you have to wait until some comes up again. so just keep ur finger cross that they will be ceremony every months or so. best of luck.
Regards.

Thanks tj_dublin
I assume once a draft of 950 euros is send to them we don't have to do anything, they will send me invitation to the ceremony. Please confirm ?
I have send all the information in the first week of Jan and I have not heard anything yet so I assume that I will not be invited in the Feb ceremony. Hopefully I will be attending March ceremony.
If anybody who has send his draft on in Jan 2012 can update forum when they hear about their ceremony it would be great ( as soon as I hear from them I will update the post)

Thats right kabutar, after sending the draft just wait and see what slot they will allocate for you, but hopefully soon. maybe march ceremony or so; best of luck.

Nope, hubbie sent in his 950 at the start of Jan and also advised of a change of address. Just got acknowledgement of the change of address, but not of the money received or an upcoming date. Can't understand why they don't just plan a ceremony for the same day every month or two and let people get on with planning their lives!

I mean dates after the Feb dates. The last invites for that ceremony were sent out weeks ago but still no info on when the next one will be held.

We are all in same boat. AFAIK nobody has heard anything from INIS who have send documents in start of this year.
We are all hoping for March ceremony. We will have to wait and see what happens.

I would strongly suggest applying for a visa for wherever you're visiting in good time as there's no guarantee that you'll get the Citizenship + passport on time! I've been waiting since June 2009.....
Good luck though.

Dodo123 is right, I just got a letter in the post today the 13th of Feb 2012, inviting me to a ceremony on the 1st of April 2012(Sunday) @ the convention centre Dublin. The letter states that I should bring a foto ID, either Original passport or driver's licence. I was one of those people that got that letter in the post in January saying that the minister intends to grant me citizenship and that I should send the €950 fee to INIS. Around a 1000 people is going to be naturalised on the same day.
