hi shaz,

i know of at least 3 refusals in the past 3 months, so you're not the only one. if that any help.

Its true none of them got a call.

I wonder if all the london calls went to everyone who applied?

Hi Shaz,

if they have not gave you a reason maybe you can appeal the unfair refusal without any grounds. Could it be an error? it is odd that no reason was given.

I am sorry hun, it is sad, this visa process is draining, and it effects everyone around you. I hope that when you appeal they realise they have made an error, and rectify it quickly.

Hi,

My husband and i are also still waiting, but just 46 day so far so know we still have time to go until we find out. I'm sorry to hear Shaz got a refusal:-(. That is sad news.

Can anyone tell me what happens when you find out? I mean how you find out and what's next?

I guess the status will change on the Worldbridge tracking system - and we o to collect the documents. Will we be emailed or informed of success or not? I heard that you collect the documents and there will be a visa or not.

Also, if it goes past 60 days, is it a good idea to contact them, or just keep waiting?

Thoughts and experience welcome.

Best wishes!

Thanks Abelel it is sad news but hopefully we can get another english test sorted and reapply

The status on worldbridge site changed for us and Kaza,my hubby didnt get any text as promised, and i had no email telling me anything, so my advice is keep an eye on the tracking on worldbridge.

I know people who have gone over the 60 days, and they have emailed and had no response, or just a bog standard "u have to wait"

Most people seem to be around the 60 days or a week over

Best of luck

Thanks,

I figured that's probably the case. As it gets closer for us, we're more and more nervous about what they will decide.

I hope you get your situation sorted soon!

Best wishes :-)

hi abedel,

shaz is right it is a waiting game.

My husband got our change in status before he actually got the text.

he couldn't get the time off work and we waiting 11 days until we got the decision.

worldbridge just handed him his papers and said check them.

he visa was attached inside his passport, bless him he had to double check and ask them if that was the visa which it was.

throughout the wait worldbridge told us that they couldn't give us the result over the phone, they are not allowed to do that, data protection i think.

the wait is terrible we waited 107 days in total from the day we applied to the day we collected the decison.

its a very long wait and we were lucky.

They are being very picky about 2 main things

1: english exam
2: money

these are what the majority of people are being refused on.

hope this helps

take care.

Thanks!

So we'll just keep checking the status. The way you describe it also sounds like what I have heard before, that you have to actually get the passport in your hand to look inside.

I imagine we should be fine on the English test - I'm not sure what the issues would be with that?. We used the British Council centre in Cairo and my husband passed with merit plus the original certificate went into the application.

As for the money-side, I figured that would be the main thing they are concerned/fussy about and therefore also the main thing I am concerned about, but just need to wait and see now. Can't change anything until we know.

107 days is a long time over the estimated 60. You must be so glad that's finished. Its impossible to live properly or make any plans like this.

Do you have the Link in the UKBA which mention the 3 month period before the visa expire.

My Expiry date in the passport is the normal 27 month but with the KOL REQ which will not make a different from the normal Spouse Visa.

Are you sure about this 3 month ?
Hi Maxiy,

I am not sure but I found some discussion on the topic online which I will quote as I think that is the answer. I assumed the visa should say when you must enter by but it does not, below is someone else reply

"A UK visa will be valid for any time between 'valid from' and 'valid until' dates. So you can enter UK right up to the day before expiry. But of course the sooner you enter UK , the longer you can stay. It will be costly and time-consuming to extend a visa in UK, and for some further visa (leave to remain) application, you need to have lived for a minimum time in UK (down to a day). If your spouse visa is for a probationary period of two years, you cannot apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) unless you have lived in UK for a minimum of one year 48 weeks (4 weeks short of full two years), and if you enter UK too late to get this minimum period, you will have to extend your spouse visa until you do, and then apply and pay again for ILR."
