Can't book online appointment

Post by ivang23 » Tue Dec 20, 2011 9:45 am

I'm trying to book a Tier 1 (General) extension approintment following this link on UKBA website: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/book-appointment. Doing this for three days by now, the problem is there are no appointments available at all no matter which options in dates or PEO i choose. Is the link correct?

The link you provided doesnt work. Use this link.

Login to the system at 11:55pm and select your preferable location and be ready 00:00 and hit the search button and u will see the appointments..be really quick because the appointments are available for 1 min..literally 1 min...fill in the details in 15 seconds or your appointment will be gone..i have done it and got it today midnight.

Hello, I am having the same problem but will try tonight at 11:55 / 12:00.

Just one question - I understand that appointments are only available 6-weeks in advance, hence will the appointments that are made available tonight only be for the 1st of February (6-weeks after 21st December)? Or will there be any before that day?

Thanks

Also, what details are required? I just want to make sure that I have everything ready since I will only have 15-seconds to fill it all in.

Thanks

no fixed times mate...
but generally people have found early hours being the time when new slots appear...so keep trying and best wishes....

if you need appointments at croydon, liverpool etc. i think they are available always..

I managed to get an early morning appointment for Croydon on the 1st of February!! :D :D :D

Thanks a million for the help guys! Much appreciated!

I would still prefer an earlier one around the 16th of Jan, but now I have a backup. If I were to hope for a cancellation then when would the best time to check the site be? Are the cancelled appointments made available if & when they are actually cancelled or are they released at a specific time as well?

Thanks

When does your visa expire? If it doesnt expire before 1 Feb then be happy with it and go well prepared on 1 Feb and get ur visa..

In case you want to try, then do try between 00:00hrs 00:30hrs every single day to see if you can get one..

It expires on 13th Feb but I wanted an earlier one only for the sake of convenience. I'll try on those times as well.

With the premium service will my passport be returned to me on the same day as the appointment when I am at the home office or will I have to return to collect it the following day?

Thanks

If your application is straight forward then you will get your passport on the same day along with your biometrics taken. also you will receive the Tier 1 visa approved letter from them. The BRP card will be posted to you via post.

I clicked on "submit" as soon as the clock struck 12 & there were quite a few available appoitments. Must have been at exactly 12:00:01.

Thanks a lot for the help guys! Much appreciated!
I managed to get an early morning appointment for Sheffield on 13th of March!!

I would still prefer Croydon office as I stay in London, but now I have a backup. Once I get another appointment for Croydon, i'll cancel this one.

Cheers!
Imran

I am doing some research before applying in the next few months  From the previous posts, it seems like the booking system will allow multiple booking appointments? So, I don't need to cancel the previous booking before booking another one, is that right? Just to be safe really. many thanks in advance

No, the booking system only allows a single appointment to be booked with a log in. To book multiple appointments, you need to create a secondary accounts (I'm not saying this is right, just saying this is how people get around it). From posts on here, the UKBA have started phoning people asking them why they are booking multiple appointments, so I would suggest that you just stick to the rules and book only a single appointment at a time.
Do not send me PM's with specific questions - post question in the open forum so others can also benefit from the answers.

Hi!
I haven't been able to get an appointment either. Is there anyone out there who knows a trick or two to get one? My visa expires on the 9th of Feb and I have been trying for the last couple of weeks but haven't caught a break yet.
Would appreciate any help i can get in securing one. Just don't wanna pay any money to the touts is all.

Many thanks

Post by shivasks » Fri Jan 25, 2013 9:36 am

Getting appointments with dependents is proving very challenging but at the same time single/individual appointments appear plenty, any thoughts anybody ?

Booking system do not allow it to book multiple in same account.
