hi
I have applied for psw on 05/01/12
received acknowledgement letter on 12/01 (dated:09/01)
but still I haven't received biometric invitation letter
if any one have same problem or any idea please reply

It is too early to ask you may need to wait longer as they have a huge number of applications that they need to deal[quote="jim23"]hi

I applied on the 6th as well. The average waiting time for BRP letter is around 3 weeks right now. Don't worry about it!

Hi Guys

This happened to me some weeks back. I got it sorted thru the immigration consultant I applied through. My post was lost and a new one was requested.

UKBA will not respond if you call. Better call International student services at ur University. they will be able to help on this. I saw this in one of the forum here. Check that out.

Hello,
I applied for my psw visa on 1 december 2011 and didn't recieve my biometric letter for a long time but i received an email from ukba to book an appointment. YOU DON'T NEED THE BIOMETRIC LETTER IF YOU RECEIVED THE EMAIL. Just take the printout of the email and book an appointment with any of the public offices around UK. Note that post offices won't accept email printouts, only UKBA offices will accept. I did my biometrics on 23rd December in Liverpool and still waiting for my documents.

i applied for PSW on 4th Jan 2012. fee was deducted after three days and within a week acknowledgement letter was received within a week from the date of submission. Biometric Invitation Letter has not been received yet? anyone can assist me in finding the time they take in sending the Invitation Letter or is there any forum from where i can get information with regard to current status... plz help me out !!!!

Same situation here; applied on 09-Jan-2012 and haven't received Bio invitation yet.

I'm just wondering why do they still need to record your Bio info if they already have it from the previous Tire4 General Student Visa?

Remember that the PSW application form asks you if you have had your biometrics tsken before!

I called UKBA today(30th Jan). they told me that I have to wait until 4 week from application date it means until 2nd Feb.(applied on 5th Jan).
if I do not receive BRP letter till that date then they can provide any further information.

I submitted my PSW application on 6/1/2012,but i did not receive acknowledgement till today.I took postal orders and send them with application.Till today i did not receive any letter from UKBA .On calling they said i need to wait for 4 weeks.

Hi,

If you applied with the dependent then it will usually take more time then the normal one.

No,i did not apply with dependent.I applied just for myself.I called up today,they asked me to give me call on 3rd of February to find out.They said sometimes acknowledgement will not be sent due to high volume of applications.

I think you have to call this no 0870 606 7766. I also haven't recieved my biometric letter yet.

I applied on 22nd Dec , received Acknowledgement letter on 17th Jan (dated 10th Jan), still no sign of the BRP letter or email. Do these come at the same time or separately?

Tried calling the 08 helpline number but no answer. It's kinda worrying me now.

I have applied on 5 jan 2012 as well, received acknowledgement on 13th jan '12, still haven't received my biometric invitation letter.

Anyone who have applied after 5th jan, have received biometric letter?

Hey finally I got email for BRP invitation today 2 Feb, (applied on 5 Jan 2012).
Fortunately I have appointment on 9 Feb at Croydon ( with 1 dependent)
But please remember 0300 phone line is closed now & you have to book appointment online.

I called up today ,i was informed that the biometric letter was posted to me on february 1.But i did not receive till now.I did not even recieve acknowledgement.
