Tier-1 Extension before 28 days

Post by zuby » Thu Feb 02, 2012 8:48 am

Hello Guys,

My Tier-1 visa will expire on 29/07/2012 and I am planning to apply my visa on 02/07/2012.
But I am not sure if I will apply 28 days before. Can I get full 3 years extension or 28 days short?

Thanks,
Zuby 8)

Hi Zuby,

You will get 2 years extension not 3 years. If you apply within 28 days, then as per the policy document you are sure to get 2 years of extension from the expiry date of your current visa.

Thanks,
Mani

Hello Guys,

I applied my Tier-1 visa 15/07/2010 and my visa issued on 29/07/2010 (for 2 years),
So what you think my extension will be 2 years or 3 years?

Thanks,
Zuby

Leave to Remain (Extension) where previous grant of leave was as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the Rules in place before the 06 April 2010: 2 Years.

All other cases: 3 Years
