T1 extn - arrival date in UK confusion

Post by sts96508 » Fri Feb 03, 2012 1:59 pm

I just posted my T1 extn application.

What is the right answer to this question in the form ?

D10. When did the applicant arrive in the United Kingdom? dd/mm/yyyy

I have entered May-2011 as the answer. Thats when I arrived and started working here.

However, I had first come to UK in Sep-2010 for a week to look for jobs.

Will this be a problem ?

Thanks

The application is already posted, with May-2011 date.

Is this serious enough to increase chances of rejection ?

My understanding is that this question refers to the date of first use of this visa (Tier-1 initial), for which you are now applying for an extension.

I was stressing about this as well because I arrived on 12th Dec 2011 and posted the application on 13th Dec 2011. But I actually first arrived in UK in Feb 2007 on a working holiday visa and then later on in Jan 2009 on Tier 1 Visa. The date I entered on the application form was 12 Dec 2011 and extension has been approved so dont stress

Thanks

Guys, no need to worry about this one. You don't need to answer this question if you will be submitting your passport. My apologies for causing you stress!

Question D5 clearly states we can skip D10 if our passport is available:

D5. Are either the applicant’s current and/or any one of his/her previous passport(s) or travel document(s) that he/she has used to travel to, and remain in, the United Kingdom which shows his/her current leave unavailable?
Yes - go to question D6
No - go to question D11

I mistakenly answered questions D6 through D10.

You need to worry about anwering this only if you wont be submitting your passport.

The entry date is stamped on your Visa the first time you enter UK. This is the reason they stamp on your visa. How did you miss that?

It doesn't matter anyways if you didn't need to fill that section.
