I was just filling out the set(m) form for my husband and after reading that it states we will need bank statements from last 3 months to prove our finances..I am now worried as I, myself have last 3 months bank statements but my husband has November and December statement missing!!
It is now too late to request bank statements as the bank needs atleast 7-10 days to post original ones out can anyone plz help as our appointment is within the next few days. What could we do? Do u think they will reject the application if we don't have the bank statements? Plz help

If he has on-line banking, then he may print out the statements and have the bank certify them.

Go to your bank and request them to print out the statements and stamp them, At the same time order duplicate statements over the phone as well to be sent at home. They say within 7-10 days but generally they arrive within 2-3 days.

Bank will not stamp the statements they say they are not allowed to do so
ordered them on Monday but they still have not arrived
appointment is on Monday morning. Will they reject the application if we don't have the statements. The only statement which is missing is from novemeber 2011. And according to set(m) you need to show proof of your finances from last 3 months. We have October,December and January.but not NOVEMBER. what can we do now?

I am not expert. However, when I renewed my visa, I just use the bank statement printed at bank. The statement was with the title of bank, no stamp was applied.

mods are going to tell you the same thing. get to the branch, get them printed. who knows its worth trying to get them to stamp it, they may do.
i have been to HSBC in the past and they have printed and stamped statements for me.

I have tried 2 different banks but both have refused to stamp the printed statements. Do u think I should rearrange or cancel my appointment and send it through the post instead once the original statement arrives?

The documents' specifications for SET(M) may not be as strict as those for PBS applications. Take what you have, with the contact details of the bank Staff/Manager who refused to stamp their own statements.

Take the bank statements you have & the 3 months payslips for you both. They are more interested in your relationship, finances come second in Set M applications.
