Conversion to tier-1general

Hi,

From the UKBA website, it appears that if I hold a work permit, I cannot apply for a tier-1 (general). If I lose my job (as a work permit holder) or if I want to change employer, what are the options?

Can some one please clarify?

Hi,

Tier 1 General is closed both inside and outside UK. For your case there is no other option available where you can switch the employer.

The only option available is if some employer sponsors you for your work, which is rare here.
