Tier 4 extension; almost 6 months

Post by Sinner » Tue Nov 15, 2011 8:35 pm

Hi all

I applied for my tier 4 extension on 18th May; it is been 6 months now I haven't heard anything. Just had my finger prints on 6th of June First on UKBA website the time frame was 4-14 weeks I called after 14 weeks and they said it is still in progress and they cannot tell anything further. Now on UKBA website it says if you have applied less than 6 months ago we cannot tell the progress of the application. Now when I tried to contact on phone there is a recorded message which plays the same message and then the phone is hanged.

Please advise me if there is any other way to contact them.

Contact your local MP and request him/her to help expedite matters and to get a definite response from UKBA with regards the current status of your application.
Also, make a complaint.

No reply from MP yet. But as you see on the UKBA website they have changed the time frame.
it says ' You do not need to contact us to check the progress of your application. We will contact you as soon as a decision has been made or if we require further information. Our staff cannot provide any information about your application if you applied less than 6 months ago. '

my 6 months were over on 18th November. I called on 20th Novemeber and they said it is still in progress and they cannot tell anything further than this.. lol..

The best thing I will suggest you all is write a letter to your college and ask them to talk to UKBA on their behalf because in my case I spoke to my MP, wrote letters myself, emails, calls but all were in vain but this monday my college wrote a letter to them on my behalf and I received my passport on Thursday.. :)

I have applied in Oct , did my Biomatrics on 2/11/2011 . Its been more than 3 months i havent heard anything form UKBA,
I wrote to them , i wrote to MP , etc in the end they just send me a letter that they will forward my request to the relavent department etc
I told my college but they said that they cannot write to UKBA because it is not legal .
Can u kindly suggest me what really should i do as i really need some advice as i need my passport and documents back soon ...

Thank u
