Gap between addresses

Post by SVodop » Sun Feb 05, 2012 8:17 pm

Question B17 asks for my addresses over the last 2 years. However, I have a 7 day gap between my current and last address (we stayed with friends while waiting for our new tenancy to start). Is is ok to have this gap, or should I add my friends address to cover these 7 days?

Thanks.

To be honest I do not think they will care much for this

I do not even remember the exact dates as I have changed 2-3 places in 2 years, the thing I did (or will do as I am posting the application this week) to have a look at the police registration certificate and fill these dates accordingly as when you are in a new address you must notify in 7 days of moving

I hope this makes sense. If I am wrong, please advise...

I don't have to register with the police so I can't use those dates. Its the dates on my lease. I'm going to give them a call.

Well, I called and he said to write a note on the form to cover the 5 missing days. This doesn't fill me with confidence.

I mean to be honest, no one will chase you for missing 5 days, you should not even declate this if I were you.

I think my situations is worse here:

01/08/09 - 31/07/10 (first accomodation)

01/08/10 - 03/09/10 (temporary accomodation)

04/09/10 - 04/08/11 (second accomodation)

05/08/11 - 31/08/11 (temporary accomodation)

01/09/11 - until to date (third accomocation)

I cannot declare temporary accomodations as these are not on the police registration form. Any ideas if this will cause me trouble?

UKBA themselves have asked for the usage of additional form for adding more addresses. It is natural for people to have temporary accommodation. Better to declare openly and have peace.
