Tier 1 General Extension - Bank Statements _URGENT

Post by Parimala » Tue Feb 07, 2012 10:42 am

Hi ,

I am going for a VISA extension next month. I have no Dependents. I had a question regarding the Bank Statements. I have a JOINT ACCOUNT with my brother who also lives in the UK. But this account has only my funds and also my salary is credited to this account. Will having a JOINT ACCOUNT be a problem?

Your response on this would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Parimala.

Shouldn't be a problem as your salary slips would telly what is there in the bank statement.

There shouldn't be a problem if the amounts on your salary slips and bank statements match.

The only other point is that you would have to get your brother to sign on your application form on page number 46 as he is a joint account holder and he needs to agree for the checks conducted by UKBA.

Be aware - your brother will need to sign a consent for joint account verification form in the T1 extension form, so ensure he will be available to sign
