applying for extension outside UK

Hi,
My Tier1 visa expires on 15th Sept. I am planning to travel to india
on 1st of Sept. Can I apply for extension when I reach india in UK VFS office?

Hi,

Unfortunately, you have to apply in-country and not in India.

Why not apply well before your time to leave for India comes (and hope that you get your approval before the 1st of September)???

You will have to apply for extension before you go to India as you can't do that from outside UK and if you go there and your visa expires you will not be able to come back.

What about for the dependants ? If a dependant is in India, and visa expires, do they apply for fresh visa or extension of exipred visa ?
