Tier 1(general) extension application clarification

Hi Guru's
My wife is going for the 1st extension of the tier 1(general) visa through PEO on 20-02-2012 her visa was first granted on 16th march 2009
we need some clarification on certain questions in application

1. question b14 in section 2 says provide PBS migrant reference number if known , is this VAF number on passport when entry clearence first granted? or is this something else?
Guideline's says it can be found on the correspondence's of home office when you have applied earlier visa on PBS system
In our case there is no correspondence as such when applied from tier 1 visa from india in this case what should we fill in the column?

I appreciate if some one can clarify this.

I also applied for my initial grant on 30-03-2009 and dint receive any correspondence's from HO.I applied for my first extension on 2nd feb 2012 (approved on same day) and left this field bank.
