it is an straight forward case however got little complications.

issued 1st hsmp 27 feb 2007. landed in UK 20 may 2007. 27 Feb 2009.
extended 13th feb 2009--13feb2012. Case worker short 13 days. i booked the appointment on 18th Jan 2012, based on 28 days. case worker checked all the documents and told me to pay the fees. After i paid the fees she reliased and told that i'm 2 weeks early for ILR and told they won't grant me ilr. They calculated the visa from date of 1st issued and rebooked the appointment on 31st Jan. Finally got it by the grace of God and help...hope this will understand whoever is applying for ilr.

Hi yousuf
Congrats...
so yours is only Hsmp+tier1 combination?

so they take into consideration the gap upto 3 months from date of issue of hsmp while issuing ILR? do we need to tell them the 3 month clause?

Hi Yousuf,

Congrats for the ILR mate, very happy to hear that, Your case is bit similar to mine as i have come late too approx 72 days. I was just lookin for an answer to my confusion. You can read my case here.

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=94866

Your visa was granted initially from 27th Feb to 27th feb 2009. But then they made a shortfall of 13 days. Did they say, it was a mistake from their side? Can you explain your case a bit more. Did they ask you about the late entry. Or you have to show them the clause about the late entry. I can see they exactly subtracted 28 days even you came late. Please reply,

Many thanks

Hi Yosuf,

not clear about 13 days shortfall.

what is this about?

you landed on 20 May 2007, nearly 2.5 months after stamping...
so ur ILR was processed considering the date of hsmp stamp? ie., 5 years from HSMP stamp date?

Hello Imranilr,
Not they did not ask any information about late entry. They are more concerned about points and cohab documents.

They did not say about that there is mistake from their side, however they calculated 5 years from 1st date of issue of visa.

Syed
