Can a Non-Resident be sponsored under Tier 2?

Hello,

I tried looking into UKBA website but it mentions nothing about it. My employer wants to sponsor me the visa but due to the nature of my job I am not based in United Kingdom. I only visit for a week every 2-3 months.

Is it possible to be sponsored under Tier 2 when you don't reside in UK?

That is for when you are applying from outside UK.

I am in UK and I will be applying from inside UK. It's just that due to the nature of my job I won't be based in UK.

they can issue you a multiple entry CoS under Tier 2 surely. You don't have an obligation to live here full-time. Just don't expect to be able to apply for permanent residence after 5 years.
