She'll be coming to Leeds/Bradford. Just checked on PIA website, it came to 51000 Rupees, so about £350. Which is not too bad..enigma321 wrote:What airport will she being flying to in the UK?earthlling wrote:Thanks everyone.
I have not spoken to my wife properly yet as i was at work when she texted me. But i think the status changed first and then she got the text message.
It all happened today, my wife lives like 10 mins from Islamabad so as soon as she found out the status has changed she went down and picked up the papers.
Someone once mentioned that the employment letter has to be less than 6 weeks old, that's not true as i got mine in June 2011 and the app. was submitted in December. So as long as you have some up to date wage slips you should be ok.
Wife will be coming next month with my parents who are in pakistan at the moment.
Does anyone know how much one way tickets are at the moment from pakistan...?
The one I got for my wife was £340, Islamabad to Birmingham on PIA.
It's due to the fact that they have a back log of work from December to get through which was delayed due to the Xmas holidays, thus they are dealing with those at first which is slowing down Jan applicants. They also have appeals to deal with which have been submitted last year as they have to respond to AIT deadlines.henna786 wrote:december i understand they taking their time due to xmas and new year but what i dont understand y jan visa ppl lol:(
Emirates flights are a bit more expensive, £411 , if you are changing over in Dubai. PIA on the other hand is around £350 to manchester from Lahore..earthlling wrote:Thanks everyone.

Not necessarily, have you received a letter for a hearing date yet ? It could just be that they are taking more time reviewing you're decision.5KHAN5 wrote:Salaam All, Jummah Mubarak.
I have been reading everyones posts.
Congratulations to those who have been granted VISA's.
I just need some advise, The ECM was given till the 8th of February 2012 to respond to our appeal. 8th has now passed and still No replyDoes this mean I will have to go for hearing??
And help or advise would be much appreciated. I have emailed twice from My Hubby's email and both times they have advised to wait for the decision and appeal will be looked into by ECM.

The ECO could still be reviewing you're decision. Even if you do receive a letter for a hearing date don't panic. Also, it is the weekend so fingers crossed you will get some news on Monday.

Will appeals made after Dec 19 be given the chance to be reviewed by an ECO? Or will they progress straight to hearing?
The course of action is for the decision to be reviewed by the ECO and if the refusal is upheld its then passed on to the First Tier Tribunal for a court hearing in the UK.Mandarin wrote:Beautiful and inspiring thoughts
