Biometric Card

Post by iubus2005 » Sun Feb 12, 2012 5:36 pm

I am planning to land in UK first week of April, and renew my Tier 1 (General) visa, that is expected to expire mid April. I have not been able to come to UK so far. My question is, do I need a Bio Metric Card if I apply at PEO? My original visa was issued in April 2009. At that time, the visa was attached to my passport and I did not receive a biometric card.

So, my question is, will I need a Bio Metric Card in order to apply for an extension, or it is taken care of at the PEO when I am there for my appointment?

Cheers.

You get a bimetric card when your application for extension is successful.

If your extension is successful, you get a bimetric card, not a visa stamping in your passport (unlike your initial visa stamping).

Read the stick thread for the BRP on the board.
