Bank statement ...Barclays...pls help

Post by village » Wed Feb 08, 2012 12:32 pm

Gurus,

I lost my barclays bank statement..I ordered a new statement but they have a statement...but there is no logo on that they have send the statement just on plane white paper they say this is what they give to everyone if they need duplicate statement..

I just got it signed and stamped at barclyas bnk....along with the statement they have send a letter stating we are sending duplicate bank statement on barclays letter head.

Is this enough or need any thing more?

pls reply....

You probably need to have logo on the statement. Ask them to give you a ad-hoc statement on official stationary and stamp it.(if they sign it that would be great)

I have applied with barclays plain statement (without logo) with Stamp and Sign on every page and got approved. It worked for me. You even have a supporting letter that's good.

You were lucky. I have seen numerous refusals due to the logo not appearing on the statement, even when they are stamped and signed. For the avoidance of doubt ask the bank to print the statements on letter headed paper;

I was rejected 3 years back when i submitted stamped, signed bank statement, but without logo. You definitely were lucky.

... :P . I think am lucky now.
But yes as you guys suggested it is better to insist bank guys to print on letter headed page. But problem with the Barclays is they first simply deny to give that and getting stamp n sign is the biggest thing. But this is based on people who working there. Better try in different branches.

Online statements should bear bank Logo and then should be stamped by the bank (additionally the bank could also provide a letter confirming the authenticity of the bank statement.)

As Greenie already suggested earlier, you are worrying too much.

Similar situation .barclays bank send me a statement on their letterhead which doesn't look like original as it a copy from archives as its aug 2011 statement . Do I need to get it stamped or is it fine only with a letterhead paper? bank guys at times refuse to
Stamp it.

I had statements that where printed from the internet and took them to my local Barclays manager and she stamped every page. She also gave me a letter as well.

No problems at all at Croydon

You need to state which Branch and City because it appears that Barclays generally doesn't stamp printouts.

I had mine done at Barclays Bank - Park Gate (Southampton) by my business manager. I tried a a branch closer (maybe a sub branch) and the staff member could only go back 6 weeks (I needed 3 months)

I also got a letter from the same branch.

I think you need to speak to a "real manager" not a "call centre" or sub branch.

I have a similar question. I asked 12 month statement from Natwest (as i have only online statements) they have sent me statement on A4 size 10 pages printed on both sides of the pages. Have logo in front side of each page but nothing on backside.
Its bank stationary and logo on front side of the pages.
Is that acceptable by HO?

I haven't heard of double sided bank stationary. If the bank provides a double sided statement, it should be okay.

In case you are worried, get a statement authentication letter from bank.

Not sure but take all with you. If it's got logo on one side then it should be fine I would have thought.

Have you still got letter / envelope from the bank that it came in? This will also be proof.

No. I asked the bank that I need Official statement on bank letterhead/stationery as per rule. They have sent me that (no complain about it). It is A4 natwest pages x 10 with logo/my name/addres etc. Only thing is it is printed both sides so the back pages have got only account details/and transactions.

Just to update, have just been to the local branch with the statements and explained. They stamped (but not signed) on the back side of each page.
