If you have HSMP approval you will not need a Work Permit to work in the UK. Accordingly the answers to 7.3 and 7.4 respectively appear to be .... No ... N/A .

Thanks a lot John for your quick response.
I have one more doubt about Section 6 " Your Finance and Employment Details"
for questions like
6.7) what is your monthly income from employment?
6.9) Do you own any assets, for example, property?
6.10) How much money is avilable to you for your stay?
For above questions amount should be mentioned in pounds or isit fine if mentioned in Rs itself.

Seniour and experianced members please reply me back on this.

Thanks and Regards,
Prakash

I am completing my EC application and the FIRST question asks.....

Purpose of visit This field is required
- Please Select - Visit Transit Student Work Permit Holder Working Holidaymaker Settlement Permit Free Employment Family Member of an EEA National Family Member of a Swiss National Retired Person of Independent means Returning Resident Right of Abode Certificate of Entitlement UK Ancestry

If I choose
WORK PERMIT HOLDER=
Type of visit This field is required
- Please Select - Up to 6 months More than 6 months Work permit Dependant Up to 6 months Work permit Dependant more than 6 months

SETTLEMENT=
Type of visit This field is required
- Please Select - Husband Wife Unmarried Partner Marriage Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person Adopted Child of Settled Person

As a part of HSMP I declared that the purpose is to settle. So....do I choose Work permit holder or settlement. And if I choose settlement I am unclear how I fit into the categories provided if I am single.

Thanks for the help

Are you filling VAF1 form?

In mine there are only the following points:

Visitor
Family Visitor
EEA family Permit
Working Holiday-Maker
Student
Returning Resident
Work Permit Holder
Dependant of a person in a long-stay category (e.g. student, employment)
Other: Please specify

John: From your answer I understand then that Section 7 should not be filled. If this is the case now my question is under which category should the application be done in terms of the "check boxes" that appear on the first page of the VAF1 form??? I do not see any suitable option. Should we use the option: "Other:" and specify there HSMP???

Thanks a lot for your feedback
