Salam guys,

My hubby arrived safely Alhumdhulila, he gave me a surprise and phoned me on the last minute that he is coming. I rushed to the airport and he was waiting outside at pick up point. lol I had no hassle of anything Masha'ALLAH!

Furthermore upon arrival to the UK my hubby wasn't asked a single question, so we were stressing for no appranet reason lol. However at Pakistan Airport just before departure he was asked to show the sponsor letter, luckily he had all document copies to hand and thus was able to show them. :?

Akaamir sis and all those expecting spouses anytime soon I hope that helps! Best of luck. :D

appeal

Post by hina786 » Fri Feb 17, 2012 1:48 pm

thanks naila sis, its the hassle of waiting 6-8 months again, i wanted to email the ecm to complain and see if they can overturn the desicion. its a bloody disgrace , just another way for them to make money.

How does the appeal process work sis, after we lodge we get a receipt saying its lodged then they give you a date for in 4 months or so, is that date the date of your hearing ? is that date when u findout if u have been succesful?
thanks

Hi all

I'm really very encouraged by the many good news posted here. Congratulations to all!

I just checked the tracker for my hubby's application and it says "Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same". He will go on Monday to check whether we have good news or bad. Right now, I'm so nervous and excited. We were hoping for a quick response but thought it'll take longer - the application was submitted in Dhaka on 03/01/12 - so now that we have a fairly quickish response I'm praying it's not the wrong decision. This weekend will be the longest I've had - usually when I get to work on Mondays I think 'the weekend when so fast'.

The only way I can cope this weekend is if I start preparing on what to do if the visa is not granted. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with the appeal process? What was it like attending the hearing? And what the legal fees were? What is the reasonable amount of time for a solicitor to be able to submit the appeal paperwork? And if you know any good ones in Birmingham.

Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dont see anything missing but I dont think you need the following:
Letter from DSS stating im not on any state benefit

I didn't give any such thing and our Visa was granted.

Also when you say 'Declaration signed by solicitor'. What do you mean by this? What declaration?

Finally, what about your sponsor letter?

:)

@Enigma

Also when you say 'Declaration signed by solicitor'. What do you mean by this? What declaration?
Declaration states my Passport number, savings and that will be sponsoring wife etc.. Signed by solicitor.

Yeah sponsor letter included aswel.

How should i go about with the order of the case??

From top to bottom?

I dont think you need the declaration in there, just the certified copies but probably won't do any harm.

Im not fully sure what order ours went in with all the documents because an agent in Pakistan put them all together. However, from my end, I put them in the following order:
- Sponsor Letter
- Identification (passport copies)
- Employment (employment letters, payslips)
- Finances (bank statements)
- Accommodation letters
- Contact (Skype call and SMS screenshots, money transfer slips)
